When the Riverdale Warriors needed a fourth quarter stop, it was linebacker Baker Schott who answered with a big stop that ended a fourth down attempt by Hendersonville at midfield. With a little over 2-and-ah-half minutes left in the game, Riverdale was able to run out the clock and hand the Commandos their first loss of the season, 39-36.

Warrior running back Austin Bryant had 170 yards on 24 carries and scored three touchdowns. He along with receiver Marquise Cantrell stole the show offensively. He had 172 yards receiving and two scores.

The game was back and forth all night, with blocked extra points and a blocked punt creating havoc for both teams. The Warriors, ranked #9 in 6A, improve to 5-and-1 while the Commandos, ranked 6th, fall to 5-and-1. Next up for Riverdale is Stewarts Creek at home.
