The Riverdale girls outscored Smyrna by 16 in the second quarter and won on the road 86-73. After being tied at 17, the Lady Warriors built a lead they wouldn't relinquish. Riverdale senior and Tennessee signee Alexa Middleton had 36 points and Clemson signee Shelbie Davenport added 27 in the win. They improve to 17-4, 7-1 in the district. The Lady Bulldogs fall to 16-7, 3-4 in district play.
GIRLS GAME PODCAST
The Riverdale boys also won on the road at Smyrna 61-52. They avenge a 10 point loss at home on December 9th to the Bulldogs. The Warriors shot 51-percent for the game, including seven three-pointers. Senior Tyler Smithson led the way with 20 points. Psalms Duff followed with 17. Richard Mulligan had 13 for the Bulldogs and Taylor Vanderbilt chipped in 12. Riverdale improves to 13-9 and 2-5 in district play. Smyrna slips to 9-10 and 2-5 in the district.
