Robbery Postpones Huntland-MTCS Basketball Game

The Huntland High School basketball team was heading to Murfreesboro Friday to play Middle Tennessee Christian School. While taking a break at a Manchester restaurant, their team bus and several cars in the parking lot were robbed.

Basketball team jerseys, shoes, cheerleader's bags, several iPads, purses, stat books and other items were stolen.

Reports indicate that the girl's team was hit the hardest, since their gear was in the front half of the bus.

The game will still be played, but later in the season. NewsRadio WGNS will let you know the new game date.

Huntland's coach indicated they will have to wear home uniforms when they return to Murfreesboro, as they don't have enough away uniforms for the entire team.

The incident happened around 2:30 to 3:30 Friday afternoon at Logan's Roadhouse in Manchester.

No arrests have been made, but Manchester Police may have information about the culprit's vehicle. If you were at Logan's Roadhouse in Manchester and saw anything suspicious, please contact the Manchester Police at 931-728-2099.
