Routine Stops Lead to Two Fugitives Captured

Two separate stops by Murfreesboro Police leads to the capture of fugitives from Cannon and Montgomery Counties. On Tuesday just after noon, Officer Primas stopped a vehicle occupied by three individuals on West Main Street. The front passenger was not wearing a seat belt. Another passenger, Jessica Hewitt of Ewing Boulevard, was discovered to have outstanding warrants in Cannon County. She was taken to the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center and held for Cannon County authorities.

Just after 10pm, Officers Crow and Fountain stopped a black Oldsmobile on a light law violation in the 1300 block of Wenlon Drive. A warrants check revealed passenger Tracy Woodruff of Clarksville was being sought for theft and escape in Mongtomery County. He was taken to the R-C-S-O to await extradition back to Clarksville.
