Rover Bus to Expand Service

Murfreesboro’s Rover Bus Service will soon expand service. The bright green bus will head to the Kroger Store on Cason Lane, the Publix Store on St. Andrews Drive and the Farmers Market on John Rice Boulevard in the near future. In fact, plans are in place for the new service district to start before the end of the 2012 year.

The city currently spends $1.3-million per year on the operating costs for the Rover bus service. Federal funding covers half of the costs associated with the Rover while the city and the state pick up the rest.
