RuCo Middle School Tournament Semifinal Recap

With 33 combined points from their inside players, Stewarts Creek was able to avenge an overtime loss earlier this year to Blackman and move into the girls championship game. The Lady Falcons defeated the Lady Flames 46-29. They'll play undefeated Christiana. A fourth quarter run by Christiana secured a spot in the county middle school championship game with a 45-29 win over Oakland. The Lady Cougars depth and press wore down the Lady Chargers in the end. Same in the last boys semifinal. Siegel cut Whitworth-Buchanan's lead to eight in the third quarter, but foul trouble doomed the Cavalier's comeback chances. The Yellow Jackets, the boys number one seed, defeated Siegel 66-48. Whitworth-Buchanan will face Oakland. The Chargers held off Christiana 48-41 behind 17 points from Marcus Hardy.
