Officer Rice says the driver, Jay Dewayne Marable, Jr., was found to have had nine prior driving on a revoked license charges. She could also smell marijuana in the car. A probable cause search turned up marijuana residue.

Marable told the officer he left the scene of the accident because he was nervous because his license had been suspended and did not have insurance.

While being booked into the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center, a clear baggie of marijuana was found in his crotch area.

Marable was jailed in lieu of 21-thousand dollars bond and faces his 10th driving on a revoked charge, leaving the scene of an accident, possession of a schedule four drug and bringing contraband into a penal institution. He'll be in General Sessions Court on November 30th.
