The Volunteer State is following a trend of upward economic mobility with nearly one out of five residents being millennials. They're the one born between the 1980's and early 2000's. That's a hefty 4 per cent increase in this segment of the population from 2010 to 2013.
Millennials are ages 18 to 33, and a strong ranking with this age group is an indicator of potential stable growth for the community in years to come.
The big draws for this age group are lots of jobs, along with a healthy mix of music scene entertainment and Southern lifestyle.
