Rutherford County One of First 24/7 on YouTube

Have you seen County Mayor Burgess on YouTube? Rutherford County government TV is now live on YouTube.

Director of the Rutherford County Office of Information Technology Brian Robertson said, “We are very excited about giving people from Rutherford County and throughout the region a greater variety of options for watching RCTV and for staying apprised of what’s going on, even without a cable subscription. We have placed meetings on YouTube for a couple of years, but it takes about 24 hours after a meeting for it to be viewable. With a LIVE feed this adds the ability to watch meetings from a variety of devices even while they are still occurring.”

The Rutherford County Government now offers 24/7 live video streaming of RCTV, the Rutherford County government access channel via YouTube. You can view the live video stream on the county’s website at www.rutherfordcountytn.gov/live_rctv.htm or on the county’s YouTube page at www.youtube.com/user/RutherfordGovernment . You can also access the stream using your iOS or Android device, or any other device or browser that supports YouTube viewing.

The Rutherford County Government’s partnership with YouTube enables it to be among the first local governments to take advantage of the new LIVE option for streaming its channel, taking advantage of one of the most widely used and accessible video distribution systems.
