A school bus accident occurred at 7:20 Wednesday morning in the area of Rockvale. James Evans with the Rutherford County School system told us the bus was pulled over on the side of the road when two cars collided at the Thompson Road and Highway 99 intersection. One of the two cars hit the school bus.

Evans told WGNS that only one child was on the bus that was headed to Eagleville School. That child was not injured and the bus driver was okay as well. However, the drivers of the two cars that collided had to be taken to the hospital. Their condition was not listed as serious.
