  Email   Print

Rutherford County Schools is addressing roof leaks at four schools this morning. The leaks are believed to be the result of the cold weather from the past few weeks followed by yesterday's heavy rains.

The schools experiencing roof leaks are Riverdale High School in Murfreesboro, Thurman Francis Arts Academy in Smyrna, Smyrna Primary School in Smyrna and LaVergne Primary School in LaVergne. All four schools remain operational today and students are safe, although the schools have made alternative accommodations for those students in the affected parts of the building.

Maintenance crews are working to repair the roofs today ahead of the wet weather that is expected tomorrow.
