During her presentation, Ellis will discuss her top five techniques for leadership, offering real-life examples and practical tips that audience members can take back to their organizations and companies, and put into immediate practice.

“We’re looking forward to hearing Emily Ellis speak on leadership at our July membership meeting,” said Anne Davis, President of RutherfordCABLE.  “Every month, we bring in top-notch speakers who give our members down-to-earth business advice, tips, trends and best practices.  Our speakers are also motivational, and over and over again we hear our members and guests say they leave the meeting even more motivated to improve their own performance and the performance of their companies and organizations.”

As former Vice President for Training and Development at The Gaylord Entertainment Company, Ellis oversaw on-boarding, orientation and training aspects of the hotel brand and hotel openings, and ensured appropriate processes were in place to develop a service culture across all Gaylord businesses.

In her years with Gaylord, Ellis worked with both senior leadership and line staff from all areas of the company. She directed training, management development, quality

assurance and communications for the Opryland Hospitality and Attractions group and also became director of Gaylord University.  Ellis also worked for the Walt Disney Company and the Orange County, Florida, Public School District.
