Salvation Army Is In Spirit of the Season

Alice Hamilton of Murfreesboro carries a small child’s hobby horse to the proper location on Saturday as final preparations for The Salvation Army Angle Tree continued. Hamilton’s Girl Scouts of Middle Tennessee troop 2430 and other volunteers assisted on Saturday. Friday marked the deadline for gifts to be delivered to The Salvation Army at the intersection of West Main Street and New Salem Highway, More than 1,400 children are registered in the program this year. Parents and guardians will be given the gifts on Tuesday, Dec. 20, between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. For more information, call 615-895-7071.
