Counterfeit bills are still circulating in Murfreesboro. The latest report is out of Sam's Club on John R. Rice Boulevard. Last weekend, two fake 20-dollar bills were taken in by the business. In an interesting side note, the federal government began circulating new one-hundred dollar bills Tuesday. It’s designed to be harder to counterfeit and easier to authenticate. The hundred note still features Ben Franklin on the front and Independence Hall on the back, along with more colorful illustrations and hidden text and pictograms that reveal themselves only under certain conditions.
