Southern Community Bank has hired a loan assistant. Oakland High School graduate Sandra Mason joins the team at the Old Fort Parkway bank. Branch president Sean Hart says Mason has more than eight years of lending and banking experience and has been a top sales performer many of those. Southern Community Bank is located at 1950 Old Fort Parkway, beside the Doubletree Hotel.
