Saturday Block Party in Murfreesboro

A block party has been planned for Saturday on Castle Street in Murfreesboro. Prior to the party, there will be a group clean-up effort of the properties along Castle Street. The event is sponsored by First Baptist Church and the Guidance Center. The clean-up will begin at 9 Saturday morning and the block party will be from noon until 5, Saturday evening.

The Murfreesboro Social Security Office has reduced public office hours 30-minutes each weekday. It is now open Monday through Friday from 9:00AM to 3:00PM. PLUS: the office now closes at NOON every Wednesday. Social Security employees will continue to work their regular shifts, but this change allows time for face-to-face consultations as well as processing more claims.
