Saturday Morning Home Fire

An early morning fire on Saturday damaged upper levels of a home in the Breckenridge area. The call was received by the 911 emergency dispatcher. Murfreesboro Fire and Rescue were at 2925 Cherry Blossom Lane with minutes. That's in the Sulphur Springs area. 

Assistant Chief and Public Information Officer Allen Swader told WGNS News that first responders reported heavy smoke from the rear and right-side of the house. A family of four was home with four other visitors. Everyone was out upon arrival and no rescue was needed.

Quick work by Murfreesboro fire-fighters extinguished the blaze that resulted in some damage to the ceiling and upper storage areas of the home. There were no injuries reported. No cause has being determine at this time.
