Murfreesboro City Schools will be open on Wednesday. City schools spokesperson Lisa Trail tells WGNS News schools will open and will be on-time Wednesday. Buses will also run their regularly scheduled routes. Trail said "Parents are urged to dress their children in warm attire and appropriate layers, especially those waiting at bus stops in the early morning hours."

All Rutherford County schools will be opening two hours late on Wednesday. Spokesman James Evans says buses will be running, although drivers have been told to use their discretion if they encounter any problem roads. Parents are encouraged to dress their children appropriately in layers so they can be prepared for the cold temperatures, which are forecast to be in the teens tomorrowmorning.
