SEE IT: Sculpture Exhibit on Display Now in Murfreesboro

Repository is an exhibition showcasing the works of several sculpture students curated by and including Sara Huggins.  An opening reception will be held Wednesday, November 13, 2013, 4:00-6:00 p.m. in MTSU’s Todd Art Gallery 210 located near the center of campus in Todd Hall.

The exhibition focuses on the nature of memory and how it functions in our modern media-saturated culture. Through sculpture the work will explore the relationship between memory, biology, and the media in the digital age.

Huggins states, “Repository is a group sculpture show that examines how the presence of media affects the encoding of experience into memory.” She goes on to describe the work in the exhibit as incorporating, “time based media with sculpture and installation in relevant and thought provoking ways that highlight the way media actually functions in a personal and prolonged context with memory.”

Hours:

Repository will be on display in the Todd Gallery 210 from November 14-27, 2013. Gallery hours are Monday-Friday 8:00 am- 4:30 pm.
