State Senator Bill Ketron (R-Murfreesboro) announced today that the Rutherford County Library System will receive a Training Opportunities for the Public (TOP) grant in the amount of $1,919.50 from the Tennessee Secretary of State. The money provides funding for the trainers, hardware, and software for free technology training classes for the community.
"Congratulations to the Rutherford County Library System for procuring this grant," said Senator Ketron. "Our world is constantly advancing in technology, and it is easy to be left behind. With this money, our libraries will be equipped to provide training for citizens looking to strengthen their technology skills in order to stay competitive in the job market and be well-connected throughout the world."
"I look forward to seeing the fruition of these technology training classes in our community, and I encourage everyone to take advantage of this great program at the library," added Ketron.
