Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred in the parking lot of the Fred’s Store on Middle Tennessee Boulevard on Saturday.  The victim told police he was outside the store around 1 in the morning on Saturday when he was approached by a subject who demanded his bicycle. The unknown culprit even pulled out a gun in the process of making his demand, according to a report on file at the M-P-D.

Luckily, the victim was not injured in the hold up. The subject however, rode away on the victims Schwinn, never to be seen again. So far, an arrest has not been made.

Keep in mind, an armed robbery is a felony crime and the thief could face serious jail time all for stealing a bicycle.
