Operation Round Up through Middle Tennessee Electric has a new name and a new way to donate to local non-profits in Rutherford County. The foundation is now called "Sharing Change."

The nonprofit electric provider allows you to round your bill up to the nearest dollar and that additional change is then given to local nonprofit organizations. Or, you can sign up to donate a full dollar or more each month that is paid through your electric bill.

Over the past 13 years, customers of Middle Tennessee Electric helped to give about eight million dollars to 550 organizations across Middle Tennessee Electric's four-county service area.
