A 26-year old Shelbyville woman was arrested at the City Cafe on Main Street after police report she was falling asleep while eating her breakfast. Murfreesboro Police were called to the East Main Street restaurant around 9:30 Tuesday morning and when questioned, Sylvia Whittaker had slurred speech and was unsteady on her feet. A check revealed she had two warrants in Rutherford County for violation of probation. She was additionally arrested for public intoxication. After being transported to the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center, she was found to be in possession of several pills, including Loritab, morphine, elonazapam and promethazine. Drug charges were added to the list Whittaker will answer to in General Sessions Court on July 28th. She was placed in jail on 31-thousand dollars bond.
