Sheriff's Department to Add Deputies to Local Schools for Safety

UPDATE:

Rutherford County Sheriff Robert Arnold held a press conference on Tuesday to discuss the hiring of new deputies to oversee our local schools. Past Report:

With all the talk about safety in our schools, Rutherford County Sheriff Robert Arnold will speak to the media on Tuesday morning at 10 about increasing the number of School Resource related officers in local schools. Reports indicate the Sheriff may add several new deputies to rotate between schools for the benefit of added protection. WGNS will learn more on Tuesday and will provide you with more information Tuesday afternoon both online and on the air.

This is certainly good, but can we cover all the schools, malls, movie theaters, & churches with officers. No way the county can afford it, so I guess businesses and churches will have to hire private security. Sounds a lot like Iraq & Afghanistan. I don't know what the answer is, but I do know that it includes more than just putting officers everywhere.
