A shots fired call was reported at a multi family home on Hastings Street in Murfreesboro Wednesday night.

A witness told MPD that two black males in a grey Nissan four door sedan slowed to a crawl in front of their address and then fired three shots from a pistol into the air. After firing the gun, the family that was outside when the shots were heard, dived to the ground.

A nearby police officer heard the shots and spotted the Nissan in question. After pulling in behind the car, the two subjects jumped out of the vehicle and ran away on foot.

One man ran to University Ridge Apartments and the second ran towards Haven Drive. The two were not caught.

The good news, no one was hurt and about 14 police officers showed up within seconds of the shots being fired. The bad news... No arrests have been made.
