"Shots Fired" call lands two in court this month

A "Shots fired" call to the Murfreesboro Police Department that occurred this past February has landed two in court this month. The incident happened in the Battle Avenue area.

The official police report from February field by the victim showed that a stray bullet came through the ceiling of an apartment and lodged into the kitchen floor. No one inside the apartment was injured, but police were quickly summoned.

Once at the apartments, another victim reported an altercation over a television took place inside his apartment just prior to the shot being fired. When detectives arrived on the scene, the investigation led them to 43-year old Robert Shane Bowen and Amie Seay, age 35. Both were arrested.

The case will now move to the courts where Bowen and Seay are scheduled to file a plea on Tuesday, August 25, 2015.

Bowen faces the following Charges:

  • Felony Possession of a Weapon by a Felon
  • Felony Reckless Endangerment
  • Tampering, Destroying or Fabricating Evidence
  • Simple Possession of a Schedule II drug
  • Possession of Marijuana
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  • Aggravated Robbery

Seay faces the following charges:

  • Possession of a Schedule II drug
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  • Aggravated Robbery

The duo have remained bars since the date of their arrest in February. Again, they are expected to file a plea in their case on Tuesday (8/25/15).
