Siegel Boys Fall in Overtime

The Siegel boys fought to the very end, but came up on the short end of a 86-80 overtime contest with Arlington in the boys state tournament. The Stars, down six with less than a minute to play in regulation, got it down to two on Charles Clark free throws with seconds left. WGNS' Bryan Barrett picks it up, with the Stars trailing 70-68...

In the overtime, foul trouble plagued Siegel. D.J. McGee, Charles Clark and Dominique Gooch all fouled out, leaving the Stars short handed in the waning moments of the game. Siegel's season ends at 31-and-2. The Stars were 60-and-8 the last two years with back to back trips to the Blue Cross Basketball Championships.
