NewsRadio WGNS' Bryan Barrett and Jon Dinkins with the call as Siegel goes up 2-to-1. McKenzie McMahan added a single to drive in an insurance run as the Lady Stars defeated the Lady Mustangs 3-to-1 and advanced to the TSSAA Spring Fling for the first time in six years. The Lady Stars, now 33-and-6, got 10 strikeouts from pitcher Veronica Westfall. Siegel awaits the bracket draw for next week's Spring Fling.

Central Magnet baseball is headed to the Spring Fling after a 4-nothing win over Sequoyah Friday. It's the Tigers' third trip in a row to the state tournament. Chris Johnson pitched a shutout and only allowed three hits. C-M-S got two runs in the bottom of the first and added on two more in the fifth for the win. They are now 33-and-5 on the year.

Smyrna baseball's season ended at Soddy Daisy in the sectionals Friday. A two-run homer by the Trojans in the bottom of the 9th gave them a 3-2 extra innings win over the Bulldogs.
