Smyrna, Tennessee continues to grow and with that growth comes more arrests and calls into dispatch.

In March, Smyrna Dispatch received over 5,200 calls. Some of the more serious calls that came in dealt with one rape, one robbery and thirty six burglary calls. There were also forty-nine accident with injury calls reported in Smyrna this past March and over 1,100 traffic stops made.

When you look at year to date numbers, Smyrna Dispatch answered nearly 20,000 calls so far in 2015.

The 23-square miles of Smyrna has over 43,000 residents. Since year 2000, the town has grown by 39%.
