Smyrna Police Checkpoint

The Smyrna Police Department will be conducting Sobriety Checkpoints on Thursday night. This is part of the continuing enforcement effort of Smyrna Police Department to make the roads in Rutherford County safe and free from drivers that are under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. The checkpoints will be on Old Nashville Highway near Rocky Fork Road at 8pm and on Hwy 41/70s near Stroop Lane at 11 pm.

BULLETIN: New Hours at Social Security Office
The Murfreesboro Social Security Office has reduced public office hours 30-minutes each weekday. It is now open Monday through Friday from 9:00AM to 3:00PM. PLUS: the office now closes at NOON every Wednesday. Social Security employees will continue to work their regular shifts, but this change allows time for face-to-face consultations as well as processing more claims.
