Smyrna Police Need Help Identifying Photo - SEE PICTURE HERE

The Smyrna Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect in a fraud case. Chief of Police Kevin Arnold told WGNS that on March 6th, a subject found a wallet on the ground near the gas pumps at a Smyrna gas station and kindly left the scene with the wallet.

The police department said the subject can be seen on video surveillance, picking up the wallet.  Within the hour, the victim’s debit card was used fraudulently on two occasions at nearby businesses. The question now stands... who used it, the subject in the video or someone else?

The suspect seen in the photos on WGNSradio.com is believed to be a black female with short black hair and glasses.  She is driving a silver, 4 door Mercedes (possibly an E Class), with a sunroof.  If anyone can identify the subject or provide information that could lead to her identity, please contact Detective Jason Anderson at 615.267.5433 or drop him an email at jason.anderson@townofsmyrna.org.
