Special Kids Race Raises Over $200,000

The Special Kids Race announced this week that the 5th annual event raised over $216,000 to help children with special needs served by Special Kids Therapy & Nursing Center.

Over 3,200 runners and walkers participated in the sold out 15K, 5K, and 1 Mile distances on Saturday, March 19, at Murfreesboro Medical Clinic (MMC) in Murfreesboro. The annual event presented by MMC had expenses covered for the 5th consecutive year by its 49 sponsors, allowing every dollar from registration to go towards the children.

The 5th Annual Special Kids Race was presented by its founding sponsor Murfreesboro Medical Clinic with platinum sponsor Max Shred. Gold Sponsors included New Vision Baptist Church, Tiffany Lane, Stewart's Special Events, Newk's Eatery, Ole South Properties, and Walker & Dunlop. Silver sponsors were Adams Place, A Step Ahead, Ascend Federal Credit Union, Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital, Stanlick Chiropractic, Fleet Feet Sports, Slick Pig BBQ, Smoothie King, Stones River Battlefield, Tam Clark DJ & Music Services, and Little Guys Movers. Special Kids is a Christian therapy and nursing center for children with special needs.
