The La Vergne Rescue Squad is hosting a craft fair on Saturday, April 5 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at 141 Gambill Lane. The indoor-outdoor craft and gift fair will feature crafters from the Middle Tennessee area. Small business vendors will be featured including representatives from Vinyl Designs, Scentsy, Thirty-One, and Mary Kay, as well as products including doll clothes and pet items. The Rescue Squad will have breakfast and lunch available for guests.

The Rescue Squad has served the La Vergne community since 1970. Their first call for help was an individual who had fallen into a hole on Hickory Street. One of the three founding members, Estel Hill, was lowered by rope to bring the person up to safety. Since then, the members of the organization have spent thousands of hours volunteering on behalf of the community.
