MTEMC’s office on St. Andrew’s Drive will be closed from 10:00 o'clock Friday morning  (10/26/2012) until 1:00 in the afternoon so employees may mourn the sudden death of a co-worker.

52-year old Mike Smithson, an operations supervisor for the electric cooperative, died following a heart attack last weekend. This Murfreesboro resident was a 33-year Middle Tennessee Electric veteran, and he grew-up in neighboring Franklin. His memorial service will be 11 o'clock Friday morning at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home in Franklin.
