A local doctor in Rutherford County has been arrested on a DUI charge. The charge comes after a domestic violence report was filed with Murfreesboro Police.

According to the report that WGNS obtained on Tuesday, a woman who was said to be involved with Dr. Mark Josovitz, called the police on Sunday night to report that he drove to her home while intoxicated and refused to leave. However, the police report shows that prior to police officers arriving, Josovitz did in fact leave and later wrecked his truck. He was then charged with DUI.

The following Monday morning a second domestic violence report was filed with Murfreesboro Police. MPD Detective Ava Radley wrote, "I was at Siegel Elementary when I was approached by (a complainant). (The complainant) spoke with me about an incident involving the victim. She advised the alleged suspect has called the school office requesting to speak with (the teacher / victim). Mark Josovitz continued to call after he was advised (the teacher / victim) was teaching class; would not be able to take his call."

The police report shows that a total of three calls were allegedly made by Josovitz on Monday morning to Siegel Elementary School between 8AM and 10:07AM. Several text messages were also sent to the teacher who filed the original police report. One message came in while Detective Radley was speaking to her. The police report stated, "The text messages were alarming to (the teacher / victim) along with other faculty."

No other charges were filed other than the single DUI charge. Josovitz was arrested at 12:05AM on March 21, 2016 and released at 3:24AM that same morning.
