State Rep. Joe Carr to serve on Tennessee Legislature’s Government Operations Committee

State Representative Joe Carr, from Tennessee’s 48th District is proud to announce that he will be serving on the Tennessee Legislature’s Government Operations Committee, the Local Government Committee and will be the Chair of the Subcommittee on Local Government. These three important appointments mark Carr’s third term as the Representative.  Carr was sworn in to Tennessee’s 108th General Assembly this past Tuesday, January 8th.

“When you run for public office it is by definition an obligation to serve the public. I’m proud to fulfill this obligation and look forward to addressing the many challenges Tennessee is faced with over the next two year,” stated Representative Joe Carr.

Carr is the architect and author of almost all Illegal Immigration laws in Tennessee. Due to his efforts Tennessee has some of the strongest enforceable immigration laws in the United States. Additionally, in previous Tennessee Assemblies, Representative Carr has served on the Finance and Education Committees. Recently, Carr announced the formation of an exploratory committee for a possible bid for Tennessee’s 4th Congressional District currently held by Scott Dejarlais.
