A stolen BMW was located in Murfreesboro. The four door vehicle was tracked down due to the BMW GPS tracking electronics.

Police found the vehicle on Mosaic Trail behind the Murfreesboro Airport. The report shows that officers first matched the VIN number with the VIN number of the BMW that was stolen. After matching the numbers, they knocked on the door of 1808 Mosaic Trail.

Officers made contact with Michael Marks who stated, “The blue BMW in his driveway belonged to him,” according to the report. Marks told police he bought the vehicle. While Marks did not have paperwork, he was able to show text messages to the police about payments he had made towards the vehicle.

Marks was charged with “Theft of Vehicle.” He will have a chance to further explain the purchase of the BMW when he appears in court on July 31, 2014.
