The car was spotted by police at the Knights Inn on South Church Street several minutes later. The clerk at the motel said the car was registered to guest staying in room 114.

A knock on the door introduced police to 20 year old Deontay Davenport and 24 year old Iesha Robinson. Police then informed the duo that they were driving a car that was reported as stolen in Douglas, Georgia. The duo also matched the description given by Dollar General workers.

When questioned, Ms. Robinson admitted to stealing food and baby items from the store. As for the stolen car, Mr. Davenport claimed that he gave the rightful owner $100 to use the vehicle.

Davenport was arrested and charged with Possession of Stolen Property. Robinson was not arrested.
