A stolen vehicle was recovered at the Shell Gas Station on Greenland Drive. Police noticed the vehicle after receiving a “be on the lookout” message from dispatch. The car in question was a 1997 Toyota Camry. In 2011, the Toyota Camry was ranked as the fourth most popular car for thieves to steal, according to the National Insurance Crime Bureau.
After police located the car, they arrested the driver of the vehicle identified as Christopher Howse. The 45-year old suspect was transported to the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center.
Contact was made with the rightful owner of the Camry and the car was returned to her. There were no reports of any excessive damage to the car.
