Storms Hit Uncle Dave Hard!

Rain may not have dampended the spirits of those who attended the thirty-fifth annual Uncle Dave Macon Days, but reports indicate it cut the crowds more than half.

The Friday night performance by 2012 Trailblazer winner J. D. Crowe enjoyed pleasant weather and a good crowd. However, the scattered storms Saturday gave everyone a good seat for the performance of Heritage Award Winner Mike Snider.

WGNS' Saturday talk shows were broadcast live from the popular event. Fortunately, our remote studios were set-up under a tent as the rains were torential at times.

The carnival-type food booths even had challenges on Saturday. In fact, the above photo shows the results of the storms. This was around dinner time, and customers were very light.
