Storms Leave Damage in Smyrna

As severe thunderstorms rolled through Rutherford County Wednesday, they left some damage behind. A roof was blown off a trailer in Smyrna on Weakley Lane. According to the National Weather Service, high winds with the thunderstorms caused damage in north Rutherford County. A couple inside the Weakley Lane trailer was not hurt. There are several reports of downed trees and some power lines across the county. One report of damage on Couchville Pike was also came into the NWS from storms that rolled through around 4pm. According to storm reports, there were several places scattered across the county that saw trees downed. Expect chances of scattered storms over the next several days, but more importantly, very hot temperatures will headline the weather forecast. Heat index temperatures are expected to be up to 105-degrees through the weekend.
