An offense that has been labeled as a carjacking was reported in Murfreesboro on Sunday morning. Police responded to North Rutherford Boulevard just before 2AM on Sunday to back up MTSU police.

Once on the scene two men ages 19 and 20, told officers that while they were stopped at the intersection of  Rutherford and Greenland, a dark skinned male wearing a red hoodie approached their vehicle and told the driver and passenger to get out. The culprit was armed with a handgun. When the men exited the Dodge Ram truck, the armed subject supposedly jumped in and drove away.
