Robberies are nothing new in Rutherford County, but this one may have you a bit puzzled. The only items reported as stolen were a pair of $50 Nike running shoes, a cell phone and a 6-pack of Red Apple Ale. Furthermore, the victim said that three men robbed him.

The "Strong Arm" robbery was reported outside the Stop N' Shop Tobacco store on South Rutherford Boulevard August 22, 2014, but so far an arrest has not been made.

The victim in this case stated he was in the parking lot of the business when he was confronted by three black males. The police report shows, "He stated the subjects assaulted him by punching him and pulling on his hair. He stated they knocked him to the ground and grabbed his cell phone, shoes and beer before running to their car and driving away."

The victim could not describe the attackers, but he did appear to have been slightly injured. MPD Officer C. Gann wrote, "I observed an abrasion to [the victims] right elbow and one to his left knee. [The victim's] right eye was also swollen, consistent with his accounts."

So far, an arrest of the three attackers has not been made.
