Police questioned a man suspected of drunk driving in front of Motel 6 on Chaffin Place Monday evening. As it turns out, the questionable subject allegedly had about 15-grams of marijuana in his possession. After finding the marijuana in his car, police asked Charles Edward Stegall if they could search his hotel room. The subject gave police permission to move forward with the search.
Inside the room, officers found plastic sandwich bags commonly used to sell small amounts of marijuana in. Police also found drug paraphernalia and a scale. According to the report on file at the Murfreesboro Police Department, Stegall admitted to selling small quantities of marijuana to friends.
The culprit was arrested and charged with manufacturing or selling a scheduled six drug and felony possession of drug paraphernalia.
