Sunday Morning Fire Destroys Mobile Home

Around 5:45 Sunday morning, Murfreesboro Fire & Rescue Department was dispatched to a single-wide mobile home fire at 135 Fairfax Drive.

District 7 and Ladder 6’s crews arrived on scene to find the mobile home on Lot 12 engulfed in heavy smoke with flames showing.

Crews extinguished the fire quickly, but the structure will most likely be a total loss.

The mobile home, currently unoccupied, was completely empty.

The fire appears to have started in or underneath one of the bedroom floors.

MFRD Assistant Fire Marshal Michael Bartlett was called to the scene to investigate. At this time, the fire is under investigation and MFRD will make no further statements.
