While others were watching the Super Bowl, a murder was happening in Murfreesboro. Shortly before 6:00 o'clock officers responded to 1306 Eagle Street in response to a reported shooting.

Authorities found a male who had been shot, and he was treated on the scene by paramedics and Rutherford County Emergency Medical Services rushed the injured man to the ER at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital.

Unfortunately, he was pronounced deceased there.
