SUPER TUESDAY will live up to it's name on WGNS!

To say this has been an unusual presidential primary would be an understatement. Now Tennessee has an opportunity to put in its two-cents, and whomever you support, this could be the most crucial ballot you have cast. The hopes, fears and much more are up and whether or not you choose to vote could have much to do with the end results.

Polls open at 7:00 o'clock Tuesday morning, March 1st, and it will be SUPER TUESDAY all day with the last one in line at 7:00PM in every precinct has an opportunity to make their decision that evening.

In addition, the Republican race for county highway superintendent will be decided. With no Democratic opponent, the race will decide if incumbent Greg Brooks is elected to a second term or if Robert Alsup takes over at the highway department. Republican Property Assessor Rob Mitchell running unopposed.

Already, early voting has been significant and Rutherford County Administrator of Elections Alan Farley has gone on record stating this year will be a record turnout for voters.

Once the polls close at 7:00PM, WGNS will be "broadcasting live" from the Rutherford County Election Commission. In addition, the CBS Radio Network will back-up the local results with totals from the other Super Tuesday sites.

If that's not exciting enough, Bryan Barrett and Jon Dinkins will be on the road in Franklin County for an always exciting semi-final games involving local teams.
