Suspect Jailed For Two Thursday Morning Robberies

Murfreesboro Police arrested a suspect involved in the two armed robberies on Thursday (10/27/2016). Detective Larry Maples charged Alexandro Antoine with the crimes, and he was booked into the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center.

The Two Armed Robberies

Just before 6:00am Thursday morning, Murfreesboro officers responded to 1350 Hazlewood in reference to an armed robbery. The suspect approached a female and demanded her money and phone. The victim complied and the suspect left the area.

At 9:38am Thursday morning, officers responded to 2181 Old Fort Pkwy in reference to another armed robbery of an individual. Officers learned that the victim was robbed in a similar fashion to the earlier robbery.

Second Robbery Victim Followed Suspect

The difference with the second armed-robbery is that the victim followed the suspect and notified police of his location. The victim then took affirmative steps to make sure the suspect did not get away from the scene until responding officers arrived.

Alexander Antoine faces three charges:

Aggravated Robbery for which his bond was set at $15,000.

Theft of Property $500 or less and bond on that charge is $3,000.

The final criminal charge is Theft of Services $500 or less with that bond at $3,000.

Again, Alexander Antoine has been charged with the crimes and booked into the local jail at the sheriffs office.
