MURFREESBORO - Murfreesboro Police are on the lookout suspects who allegedly kidnapped an Antioch woman at gunpoint in the K-Mart parking lot. The alleged incident occurred Thursday afternoon around noon. Spokesman Kyle Evans says Mattie Tulloss of Antioch came into the Police Department lobby to report that she had been kidnapped at gunpoint in the K-Mart parking lot on N.W. Broad Street. She reported that she was forced to drive to the SunTrust Bank on Heritage Park Drive and withdraw $8,000 in cash.

According to the bank teller, the victim did not show signs of distress and split the money into two envelopes of $4,000 and then left the bank with one of the suspects. The victim told investigators that she then drove the suspects back to K-Mart where they exited the victim’s vehicle. The victim then drove to Nashville and notified her family, who then drove her to the MPD to report the incident.

The Criminal Investigations Division is investigating the incident and has released pictures taken at the bank of one of the suspects. We have those online at, keyword kidnapping. The photographed suspect is described as a black female approximately 50 years old, 5’3” and heavy set. She has red/blond hair pulled back in a ponytail with a silver clip on the side.
