Suspicious Subject Spotted Documenting Railroad Activity in Rutherford County

A “suspicious subject” incident report was filed with the Murfreesboro Police Department on Saturday. The complainant called the authorities after spotting a white male with a CSX cap and shirt standing next to the railroad tracks, documenting the number of trains passing by. When the person who filed the report approached the subject to ask if he worked for CSX, he replied, “NO.”

Officers investigated the puzzling report and contacted CSX directly. The railroad company told police that the subject in question was not one of their employees. CSX is now conducting an investigation into the matter. So far, the suspicious subject has not been tracked down, so at this point he has not been questioned.
